“Women’s Golf…”

Women’s golf history is very rich, as it was first played by Mary Queen of Scots in the 1500s. She was a woman of privilege, however, so it took quite some time for the sport to be played by the masses. The first recorded female tournament was a minor one, as it was contented by two women in 1811. This match also took place in Scotland, so the game took some time to expand to other parts of the world. Women’s golf history shows that the sport finally reached a mainstream level in the 1930s, as this was when a number of tournaments took place. During this time, the skill levels of female players also improved considerably, which could be one of the reasons why it gained in popularity.

“A Rich Women’s Golf History…”

Women’s golf history is very lengthy, even though it has only hit the mainstream within the past 60 years. In the future, we will probably see the women’s game grow even further, as there are a variety of corporate sponsors behind the various tours that will help it to grow. The talent levels of these female players are also increasing, as players like Michelle Wie and Annika Sorenstam have managed to play on the men’s tour at various points because of their driving ability and all around skill levels. Women’s golf history might not be as long as in the men’s game, but it is definitely developing rather quickly and we will soon see this change. It is also important to keep in mind that the number of recreational female golfers is also increasing drastically, which will help the game to grow even more. In the future, we will see even better female players and more big money tournaments, as this great sport continues to expand.
