This match also took place in Scotland, so the game took some time to expand to other parts of the world. Women’s golf history shows that the sport finally reached a mainstream level in the 1930s, as this was when a number of tournaments took place. During this time, the skill levels of female players also improved considerably, which could be one of the reasons why it gained in popularity.

In the future, we will see even better female players and more big money tournaments, as this great sport continues to expand.
