One of the most scrutinized aspects of the short game is putting, as this is vital for getting the ball into its final destination. Even though your left hand will be your top hand if you are a right handed golfer, most of the pressure should be on your right hand.

The golf short game is one of the most difficult aspects of the sport to master because it takes a lot of concentration and the perfect touch to make a shot work. When you are driving the ball, you can simply attempt to get as much distance as possible, but the golf short game calls for you to take a little something off and put the ball in a position where you have the greatest chance of success.

To practice this, try putting with only your right hand a few times and see how it feels. You will notice that you have more control with your right hand, so that is why it is best to apply the most pressure on this hand with your grip.

Another very important aspect of putting is reading the green, as rarely are greens straight in nature. If the green breaks sharply to the right in your putting line, it is best to start the ball off to the left a little bit. When you address the ball, make sure that the ball is lined up with the heel inner heel of your forward foot, as this will make sure that your eyes are directly over the ball.

Make sure that your feet are facing the same direction that you are, as this will help achieve the best line for the ball. You will also be able to see the line of the ball more clearly with this stance, which will also help you keep the ball heading in a straight line. The golf short game is really a series of minor motions that need to be kept in check and golf putting is no exception.

The final tip that you will have to work on is your distance control, which will largely be based on green conditions and the slope of the green. No matter what type of technique that you use for your golf short game, work on it constantly in order to achieve the maximum results.
